Pizzeria Bianco is owned by Chris Bianco who first started the pizzeria “inside the back corner of a neighborhood grocery store in 1988.” The pizza here is so good that the New York Times call the pizza “perhaps the best in America.” If that’s not enough to convince you to try it, then nothing will be.
To top it off, they have local beer on tap and in bottles. They feature IPA from Dragon Brewing in Tucson, Kolsch from Wren House Brewing in Phoenix, Brown Ale from Sun Up Brewery in Phoenix, and more!
Pizzeria Bianco is located in downtown at 623 E Adams St. with a second location in Town & Country.
Base Pizzeria is a family-owned restaurant by three Australians who wanted to combine their passions for food, wine, and organic/farm-fresh produce.
This spot is unique because they are actually offering a kids pizza making class this summer. Your kids can have fun, learn a new skill, and they might even let you taste their creation at the end of it.
As for their pizza, they have all the classics you know and love (with fun new names like “Dr. Green Thumb,”) as well as featuring local beers such as Oak Creek from Sedona, Four Peaks from Tempe, Lost Highway from Flagstaff, and a few others.
Base Pizzeria is located at 3115 E Lincoln Drive.
If you’re looking for true Italian pizza, look no further than Pomo Pizzeria. They are known as “authentic Neapolitan Pizza handcrafted in the tradition of old Italy.” They use an old Pomo family recipe and handcraft each pizza as if it were their last.
Certified by a few pizza associations from Italy, this is the closest thing you could find to authentic Italian pizza without actually traveling to Italy.
Something to note: since you will be eating authentic Italian pizza, these will not be quite as big as we are used to as Americans, which is great because that means you don’t have to share with anyone! Pair your own pizza with a glass of wine like the Italians do, or try one of their local draft beers such as Camelback from Phoenix, Grand Canyon from Williams, or San Tan from Chandler.
Federal Pizza is housed in the restored 1950’s First Federal Bank and they specialize in wood fired pizzas. They offer catering and to-go, but you’ll want to eat in for the atmosphere and the local beers!
They offer Four Peaks Sunbru, Huss, and Four Peaks Kilt Lifter.
